8 DAY SAFARI TO MERU-SAMBURU-ABERDARES-NAIROBI

Experience the beauty and diversity of Kenya on this exciting 8 Days 7 Nights safari through the breathtaking regions of Meru, Samburu, Aberdares, and Nairobi. Begin your adventure in the wild landscapes of Meru National Park, famous for its rich wildlife, scenic rivers, and untamed wilderness, before heading to the rugged beauty of Samburu, home to unique species such as the Grevy’s zebra, reticulated giraffe, and Somali ostrich.

Itinerary

Day 1 – Nairobi

Upon late arrival at Jomo Kenyatta International Airport, you will be met by our driver guide. After greetings and introductions, you will depart to your hotel for check in and relax. Dinner and overnight at the Hotel

Day 2 – Nairobi/ Meru

After breakfast we will check out from the hotel then depart towards Meru National Park. After checking in your Hotel and having your lunch, you will proceed to the game park for an evening game drive. Dinner and overnight at at the Hotel.

Day 3 – Meru National Park

After a delicious hot breakfast in camp, set out for a game drive. This is Kenya's wild northern frontier, which is home to rare and threatened animals such as cheetah, Gravy’s zebra, lesser and greater kudu, gerenuk and the Somali Ostrich. Marvel at the scenery changes from open plains dotted with baobabs, to the coolness of the riverine forest, as you look for crocodiles lazing along the river beds, and listen to the chattering of the monkeys high up in the tree canopy. Search for relatives of Elsa the lion, who made Meru her home when George and Joy Adamson released her back into the wild. Dinner and overnight at at the Hotel

Day 4 – Meru National Park/Samburu National Reserve

After breakfast you will check out of the hotel and depart to Samburu National Reserve. Arrive at Samburu National Park early in the afternoon and have time to check in and have your lunch. Later you will proceed to for an evening game drive. Dinner and overnight at the Hotel

Day 5 – Samburu National Reserve

After breakfast with your packed lunch you will proceed to Samburu slopes which has the rare reticulated giraffes and plenty of the cat family such as lions, leopards and cheetahs, elephants, gravy zebras and baisy olyx. Also here you will find rare birds such as sun birds, eagles, guinea fowl, horn bills, secretary birds, vultures, kingfishers, marabous, bateleurs, guinea fowl and Somali ostriches. After a fruitful game viewing day, dinner and overnight at the Hotel

Day 6 – Samburu National Reserve- Aberdare National Park

After breakfast you will check out of the hotel drive towards central Kenya where you enjoy fascinating sights of Mt. Kenya and Aberdare Ranges.  Arriving in the afternoon you will check in your hotel and have your lunch. Later you will proceed for an evening game drive in popular Solio ranch where you will witness rhinos, zebras, antelopes and buffaloes. Dinner and overnight at the at the Hotel

Day 7 – Aberdares /Nairobi

After morning breakfast visit the Lord Baden Powell site and grave side. Baden Powell from England is the world famous founder of the Scouting Movement in 1907 and started the same in Kenya in 1910. He died in Kenya in 1941 and was buried in Nyeri town near the Aberdare forests that is facing Mt Kenya. Later proceeds to Nyeri market and witness how the local communities trade with commodities. Later depart to Nairobi and on the way enjoy sights of coffee, tea, bananas and pineapple plantations. Arrive in Nairobi early in the afternoon and drop off at your city hotel at the Hotel

Day 9 – Nairobi

After morning breakfast drive to the most visited Nairobi National park, the only known world park at the doorstep of a capital city. You enjoy much wildlife such as lions, buffaloes, zebras, antelopes and giraffes. There are also many species of birds in the park. You later visit the Daphne Shedrick and spend memorable time with some of the baby elephants that has been saved from poaching. 

If that isn’t enough, “adopt” one — you can come off-hours, (only open for one hour for public 11am to 12pm), and watch the elephant keepers tuck them in and put them to bed.

Dinner and overnight stay at the Hotel

Day 9: Departure

After breakfast, depending with your flight, you will be dropped at Jomo Kenyatta International Airport for your safe flight back home.
