Day 1: Nairobi to Masai Mara

You will be picked up from your Nairobi hotel or residence in the morning and depart for Masai Mara National Reserve with a stop at the Great Rift Valley View Point, where you can capture the breathtaking scenery. The drive takes approximately 5-6 hours through the dramatic escarpment. On arrival at your camp or lodge, you will be allocated to your rooms to freshen up, followed by lunch. In the late afternoon, depart for game drives across the vast rolling plains till dusk. Return for dinner and overnight.

Day 2: Full Day Masai Mara
Breakfast at the camp, after which you will depart with packed lunches for full-day game drives in the Masai Mara National Reserve. On this day, you will have a chance to visit the Mara River, which is the site for the famous wildebeest migration dubbed the 8th Wonder of the World. You will have lunch at a picnic site before continuing with further exploration of the wild to see more wildlife on your checklist. Return to the camp in the evening for dinner. After dinner, join other guests around a bonfire where you will relate the day’s unique sightings.

Day 3: Masai Mara to Lake Nakuru
Breakfast at the camp, then depart for Lake Nakuru National Park. The drive takes approximately 5-6 hours through the Great Rift Valley with scenic stops along the way. Arrive at your lodge in time for lunch. After settling in, depart for afternoon game drives. During this time, you will have the opportunity to explore the lakeside with a significant population of lesser flamingos, as well as white and black rhinos. Return to the lodge for dinner and overnight.

Day 4: Lake Nakuru to Lake Naivasha
Breakfast at the lodge, then depart for Lake Naivasha, the highest of the Rift Valley lakes. The drive takes approximately 2-3 hours. Arrive at your resort in time for lunch. In the afternoon, you will enjoy a boat ride on the freshwater lake to explore its rich diversity, viewing hippos and countless bird species. This is followed by a guided walk on Crescent Island Sanctuary, where you walk among free-roaming wildlife including giraffes, zebras, and antelopes in a predator-free environment. Return to the resort for dinner and overnight.

Day 5: Lake Naivasha to Amboseli
Breakfast at the resort, then depart for Amboseli National Park via Nairobi. The drive takes approximately 5-6 hours. You will have a brief stop in Nairobi for lunch en route. Arrive at your camp or lodge in the late afternoon, check in, and freshen up. Weather permitting, you may catch your first glimpse of Mt Kilimanjaro in the evening light. After settling in, enjoy a short evening game drive or relax at the lodge. Dinner and overnight.

Day 6: Full Day Amboseli
Early morning game drive beginning at 0600hrs to catch the clearest views of Mt Kilimanjaro just before dawn. Witness the mountain emerge as the sun rises, casting golden light on its snow-capped peak. Return to the lodge for breakfast at 0800hrs. Mid-morning at leisure, perhaps by the pool with views of the mountain. Lunch at 1300hrs. Later at 1500hrs, depart for afternoon game drives, with a stop at Observation Hill that offers magnificent views of the vast wilderness and its wetlands. Return at dusk for dinner and overnight.

Day 7: Amboseli to Nairobi
Early morning game drive to catch the sunrise over the park and any predators returning from their night’s hunt. Return to the lodge for breakfast. Afterwards, check out and depart for Nairobi. Lunch en route. You will be dropped off at your Nairobi hotel or residence or at Jomo Kenyatta International Airport for your onward arrangements.
